The Pousada Monte de Santa Luzia is a beautifully restored building which dates back to 1918, standing on the Santa Luzia hill overlooking the town of Viana do Castelo, the sea and the beautiful estuary of the River Lima.

The Pousada Monte de Santa Luzia stands in some magnificent gardens which are surrounded by woods. It has its own swimming pool and tennis courts and nearby activities include water sports, canoeing , golf, boat trips, cycle tours, country walks and fishing on the river.
The pousada has 47 standard rooms, 2 luxurious rooms and one suite. All come well equipped with air conditioning, cable television, a mini bar, ensuite bathroom with a hairdryer and direct dial telephone. Nine of the rooms also have wireless internet facilities and there are two garages available.
The restaurant at Pousada Monte de Santa Luzia serves regional dishes and specialities including smoked ham with fruit, hake au gratin with mayonnaise, free range chicken with giblets and viana pie can be found on their standard menu.
