The Pousada Conde de Ourem stands in the magnificent walled town of Ourém, which is a few kilometres from Fátima (one of the Europe’s main pilgrimage destinations). The Pousada was built from a cluster of three medieval houses which have been renovated with all modern amenities. Two of the buildings are connected by a kind of a tunnel and the third one is independent.
From the belvedere of the pousada of Fatima you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Seiça River Valley, and catch a glimpse of the world-famous Sanctuary of Fátima. The Pousada Conde de Ourém is situated just one hour from Lisbon, two hours from Oporto and 15 minutes from Fátima. Nearby attractions include the Medieval Castle, Colegiada de N. Sra. da Misericórdia Church (15th Century), Gothic Fountain, Fátima Sanctuary, Batalha Monastery, Castelo de Bode Dam and Tamar (Convento de Cristo)
The pousada of Fatima has 18 twin and 12 double guest rooms. All are air conditioned and come equipped with cable television, a mini bar, hair dryer, safety deposit box, bathrobes and a direct dial telephone.
The pousada has its own swimming pool and in the area surrounding it you will find some lovely country walks and cycle tours.
The restaurant specialises in local cuisine including codfish soup, stewed bass in a pastry shell, fried rabbit with cabbage and a pumpkin and walnut dessert
