With a unique location in the Peneda/Gerês National Park, the Sao Bento Pousada has breathtaking views from the terraces over the River Cávado and Caniçada dam.
The Sao Bento Pousada has 28 guest rooms and one suite which are all well equipped with air conditioning, cable television, a mini bar, ensuite bathroom with hairdryer and direct dial telephone.
The pousada has its own swimming pool and in the immediate area guests can enjoy many other sports and leisure activities including golf, fishing in the dam, hunting, horse riding, tours of the natural park (with or without a tour guide), boat trips, canoeing, country walks and water sports on the dam.
The restaurant at the Pousada Sao Bento specialises in regional cuisine and a typical menu would comprise thick regional soup made with pork and chicken giblets, trout in red wine, kid rice and regional pudding
