The Pousada Hotel in Alijo - Pousada Barao do Forrester
The Barao de Forrester Pousada is located in the old village of Alijó which is in the heart of the Douro Wine Region among the famous "quintas", which are small estates where the port wine vines grow in terraces. Its close proximity to the Douro River offers guests relaxing cruises and one of the most beautiful landscapes in the country.
The Posada Barao de Forrester has 21 guest rooms, of which 8 are doubles and the remainder are twins. Eight of the rooms have wide balconies and all come well equipped with air conditioning/heating, a mini bar, telephone and cable and satellite television.
The pousada de Alijo has its own swimming pool and tennis court, and guest can also enjoy activities nearby which include hunting, water sports, a shooting range, boat trips, canoeing, cycle tours, country walks and fishing for barbel and boce.
